File your taxes with a little help from our checklist

Our friends at Brunning and Company helped us pull together a comprehensive checklist of the forms you’ll need to file your taxes. Owner, Shannon Brunning, has also shared three simple tips to make tax filing a little easier this year.

  1. Set up a designated space in your home to put all those T-slips and relevant tax information that trickle in at the beginning of the year.

  2. Make sure you have all your documents before you begin/go to your accountant so that you save time. Look at last years return for an idea of what you should have.

  3. Don't throw it away because the CRA requires you to keep all backup records for 6 years.
